03FAQ

Questions clients ask

  1. 01

What construction services does VSN Constructions offer?

General contracting, design & build, preconstruction, construction management, civil works, structural works, MEP coordination, fit-out, project planning, procurement, quality management, and commissioning & handover. Services can be engaged individually or combined in a single contract.

  2. 02

What is the difference between general contracting and design & build?

Under general contracting, the client’s design team completes the design and VSN builds it, taking responsibility for programme, cost, quality and safety on site. Under design & build, VSN also takes responsibility for completing the technical design, giving the client one point of accountability and earlier cost certainty.

  3. 03

When should we involve a contractor in our project?

As early as possible — ideally at concept or early technical design. Early involvement lets the contractor advise on buildability, logistics, programme and cost while the design can still respond, which is when changes cost least.

  4. 04

How do you keep a construction project on programme?

Every project has a baseline programme with a defined critical path, weekly look-ahead programmes agreed with the site team, and monthly reviews against actual progress. Slippage is reported early with a recovery plan rather than absorbed into a revised baseline.

  5. 05

How will we know how our project is progressing?

You have a single Project Director as your point of contact, monthly progress reports covering programme, cost, quality, safety and risk, scheduled site visits, and milestone reviews. Inspection records and test certificates are available as the work proceeds.

  6. 06

How do I get a quote for my construction project?

Send a short brief through the Start a Project page. A Project Director reviews it, arranges a first conversation about the site, programme and constraints, and then sets out a recommended route, outline programme and next steps in writing.

Not sure which route fits?

Share what you know about the project. We will recommend a route and explain the trade-offs.
